His eyes can tell you everything.
Or maybe can tell you my thoughts.
I'm starting to mix a few techniques I use, trying to get rid of the aitbrush effect without going into the extreme of my portraits style (more raugh and stylized realistic drawings).

About 15 hours of Photoshop, standard brushes, textures painted with no custom brushes just because of my fanatic love for detailing
Thanks for taking a look!

Every night with a clock in her hand she walks on the ruins of the ancient lake. Every night she waits and hopes that the promise once made will be kept. Sometimes when walking gently from stone to stone, a cold night breeze whispers in her ear and touches softly her long black hair. Then she shivers, cold in her madness, when the night wind speaks with his warm voice. But he never came and never will.

Painted with photoshop and a lot of coffee. This one took me a lot of time, and I really couldn't stop adding things.
Thanks for taking a look.

Finally over, I had to work in spare times on this work for a lot of other deadlines, so this night I had to enter the mood in a violent way to finish it, and it was difficult, so.... I went to a calm water mirror and waited the Lady to bring me my DVD of Excalibur, which helped me to paint and feel the right atmosphere. This comes with a booklet of 6 illustrations in my usual coloured pencil style.
Hope you like it, thanks for checking out!

Complete piece with cut and title
Another of my recent Photoshop bigger paintings, I'm still discovering new ways, techniques and brushes, and at least trying to make backgrounds for once.

"Youth is a Gift of Nature, Age is a Work of ART."
This is what mr. Bernt Carlzon wrote on his ID, I should say HE is a masterpiece as a man, a brilliant photographer, an exquisite person. I thought about adding a scenario in this portrait, but his eyes and expression were so strong I couldn't add anything that could take away the attention. I'm grateful to him for letting me use a such beautiful picture as reference. I saw him as Galileo for their similar attitude and faith in progress and constant developing.

Poison Roots

The concept is hidden in the symbology. This image is about love, but not the commercial look at love, more the real one. Two levels of interpretation, the first one is direct and narrative, and can rappresent a vampire with his victim, and that's it....
But, If you'd like to know and view more, it also speaks about the relationship between man and woman, she's surrendering but there's the desire of escape in her (feathers), he's possesing but without being able to move...roots.
And there's even more, but where's the fun if I don't let you discover by yourself.

I'm quite satisfied how it turned out, even if I'm still discovering new ways and brushes in photoshop, expecially their usage.
Painted in photoshop, and find it very suitable for this kind of bigger works in which my usual technique in Painter Classic is a bit too long and difficult.
Finished. I'm very grateful to XeNusion for the great help and suggestions.
I really think it's much more better with this light open air atmosphere, turned out as I have it in mind at the end, hope the Dune people will like it also. Inspired by Dune novels, F.Herbert

The essence of life in a touch.
Spring always comes, from the highest Tree to the last Primula root in its shadow.

It waited almost finished for more than a month. It happens sometimes that you made all the steps in the colouring, all the things as you wanted to be, but something is missing, maybe the last touch to give the desired atmosphere. Usually this is all about finding the right colour switch in the colour balance tool, the right contrast in few zones, the right light and overlay highlights, this piece went into two pencilworks and started two colouring processes, Showed here is the second final version.

This is one of my older works, but still remains one of my favourites for the simple reason I found the balance between my pencil work and the digital colouring, now often I digitalize too much. I try to make mine this technique, in which the traditional look has to stay, together with a raugh look. My inspiration are the works of Herbert Tauss in which the sketchy dynamics resist to all the process of completing the image, I'm still far away from reaching the goal, but I try not to be influenced by the dominant style of digital painting that often works more like oil or acryl than gouache or watercolour.
